This is one of the most common USCIS case statuses. It means USCIS has your case, it is open, and it has not yet reached a decision. It is a normal "in the queue" state — it does not indicate a problem, an RFE, or that anything is wrong. USCIS uses this generic wording for cases that are simply waiting their turn to be worked.
Is it normal?
Yes — it's normal, and it can display for many months. USCIS generally works cases in the order received for a given form and office, so a case can sit in this status for the length of the current processing time. Seeing it for weeks or months by itself is not a red flag.
